The Wonder of the Film Score (5 of my favourites)

As with many people my age I got into film music via John Williams original score of Star Wars. In some ways that one score started an avalanche, because before the release of Star Wars in 1977 very few films especially Science Fiction ones released music. There were a few compilations done by various Orchestras but original Scores were a rarity. I know everyone says they have an eclectic taste in music but I would like to claim I really do, I will expand on that in some later posts…

Coffee

I like coffee, not a shock for those who know me. I grew up with coffee, one of my earliest memories of coffee is my mum when she bought an electric Percolator as a way to make coffee. At that time in the U.K most people thought coffee was just the instant stuff you bought in a Jar. You could tell how bad the U.K’s coffee tastes were when Mellow Birds was popular brand. 40 years in the Making

Sometimes in life you can pinpoint the moment that a life-long interest and love started. This is mine ……… Set the way-back machine to 1978 and Picture a glorious sunny day on the south coast of England.
