The Elephant in the Room
Yes I know we don’t talk about him. I’m behind on articles I want/am writing for this blog, this intermission post is over a week later than I’d like. If you read the Mission statement to this blog you will understand it’s all about taking you away from things that are getting you down in life and focusing positively on my/your loves. Art, Films and Writing as well as my other hobbies and interests are a great escape for me ….. Wait for it ….. but (there it is) no matter how hard you try external events can and do affect what you are doing. I have been struggling to focus with the stress of the current worldwide situation and what I personally have to do to keep my family safe, I have therefore fallen behind. I had great plans for this month, it being the 40th Anniversary of the release of The Empire strikes Back, several articles were planned and it was to be a cacophony of delights. Sadly I haven’t been able to work on these yet like I hoped due to all the stress and strains of daily living but it’s still my focus over these next few weeks as it’s something I really want to do.
The focus this blog gives me also means at times realising what external factors I can or cannot control. One thing that gives me joy is trying to communicate my love for my interests and hobbies and with that is where I want to focus. So to sum up this shorter than normal Intermission. The situation has unsurprisingly affected me, but I am pushing forward and hoping to get back into the flow.
